AtTek ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 ("POPIA"). This policy explains what information we collect when you use this website, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.

2. What information we collect

We collect information you give us directly when you place an order or contact us, including:

• Name, email address, and phone number
• Delivery/shipping address
• Your South African ID number, because your order is imported and SARS customs needs it to release the parcel
• Order details (items purchased, order value, order history)
• Any product reviews you choose to submit, along with the name you enter for them

We do not collect or store your card or banking details. Payments are processed securely by our payment providers, PayFast and Ozow, and your card or bank login details go directly to them, not to us.

3. Why we collect it

We process your personal information to:

• Fulfil and deliver the order you placed, including clearing it through customs
• Send you order confirmations and delivery tracking updates
• Respond to queries or support requests you send us
• Meet legal and accounting record-keeping obligations

We only collect what we reasonably need for these purposes, consistent with POPIA's minimality principle.

4. Who we share it with

We share limited personal information with third parties only where necessary to fulfil your order:

• PayFast and Ozow: to process your payment securely (whichever you choose at checkout)
• Our delivery/courier partners — your name, address, phone number and ID number, to clear your parcel through customs and deliver it
• CJdropshipping, our supplier — since this is a dropshipping store, your shipping details and ID number are passed to the supplier who ships your order directly to you. CJdropshipping is based outside South Africa, so this information is transferred across borders only for this purpose
• Our email service provider, to send order and tracking emails

We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

5. How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as reasonably necessary for accounting, tax, and legal purposes (typically five years, in line with South African record-keeping requirements), and delete personal information we no longer have a legitimate reason to retain.

6. Your rights under POPIA

You have the right to:

• Ask us what personal information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct inaccurate information
• Ask us to delete your information, subject to our legal obligation to keep order/financial records
• Object to how we process your information
• Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa if you believe we've handled your information unlawfully

7. Cookies

This site uses your browser's local storage to remember your shopping cart between visits. This stays on your own device and isn't sent to us or any third party. We don't currently use tracking or advertising cookies.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against loss, unauthorised access, or disclosure. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information appropriately.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "last updated" date.
